This individual assessment is worth 50 marks and comprises two Cases for analysis, each Case worth 25 marks. Cases selected for analysis can come in different formats, the traditional written format or live cases which might include online simulations. Or students might have the opportunity to write a Case or curate cases to demonstrate key entrepreneurial concepts. Sometimes older cases may be selected based on their stories of success or failure so that we can learn from them. Or at times, we may select a country or countries to analyse the countrys entrepreneurial climate.
The Cases for analysis will be posted on iLearn 2 weeks before the due date. In your case analysis, while you focus on the facts provided in the Case, conduct research and use interdisciplinary concepts to diagnose problems and recommend appropriate evidence-based, ethical and sustainable solutions to complex business problems.
In Weeks 6 and 9 when submission of Case report is done, there will be theCase Debrief in class. All students must contribute to the Debrief as individual contributions will be reflected in your case study analysis. Case discussion in class is a hallmark of case study analysis (see my notes on A brief guide to case study analysis on iLearn).
Important note:Attendance is compulsory in Weeks 6 and 9. As the Case debrief and potential solutions will be discussed in class, non-attendance will mean 0 marks for Case Debrief contribution. No special consideration will be accepted for this will marking criteria for reasons mentioned above.
Note that late submission penalty applies. Please refer to Unit Guide for late submission penalty.
