Use this all four patchwork assignment template to reflect your experiences. On the left hand side of the template you will see week notes, do not see these as set list of questions to be answered but as a guide to think and consider about. You are not expected to answer all of these questions. Reflection is an individual, personal process, you need to show this in your work.
While reflecting remember the following things: (1) What you did, how you did it; (2) What problems you encountered and overcame, what you learnt, what skills developed; and (3) What could be improved, what next steps.Write your answers in the given blank spaces on the right hand side as a piece of continuous writing.
You should provide at least one evidence (e.g. image or copy/paste document) in each patchwork. This means there will be at least four evidences. References are not mandatory. You can use screenshot (see PrtSc tab on keyboard) to capture the evidence from the page or website and place them in the appendix (including images or copy/paste document) of each weeks patchwork.
After the completion this patchwork, you should submit this as a summative assessment into the canvas page.
Patchwork-1: Preparing for your studies (roughly 400 words)
Week-1
Set up your email signature (Evidence?)
Email your academic coach to say hello (Evidence?)
Write words reflecting on the picture you chose and your first experiences of university, including:
-why you chose this picture
-how does this represent how you feel
-how did it feel discussing this with others
Week-2
Apply Rolfes reflective questions to a learning incident (see slide 11 on canvas)
Create a study plan (see slide 19 on canvas) (Evidence?)
Download the list of useful university web links from canvas.
Explore the university website and start to add to this list (see slide 27 on canvas).
Explore the canvas site, say hello on this patchs discussion forum (see slide 30 on canvas). (Evidence?)
Make a sams appointment when asked to do so by your academic coach (see slide 32 on canvas) (Evidence?)
Week-3
Go onto e:vision and check that your personal details are correct.
Read through the guidance on e-safety and make sure you feel confident that you will not get scammed.
Find Word for Dummies on leganto.

Patchwork-2: Finding and using resources (roughly 400 words)
Week-4
Find a resource (e.g. journal article/book chapter) that you will use in completing your assignment for either 3ED003 or 3HW003. This could be;
A reading given to you;
Something from the reading list;
Something you have found yourself (check with your module teacher that this is appropriate for the module).
Week-5
From the reading resource found in week-4:
Make notes on this source, summarise it to an appropriate length so that it can be used to help you complete your assignment for 3ED003 or 3HW003 which is the module you are studying.

Week-7
Book onto one of the library workshops on referencing.
Download the Harvard referencing guide.
Become familiar with the cite-them-write on line guide.
Week-8
Copy and paste one paragraph from your assessment for 3HW003.
Copy and paste examples of in-text referencing from your assessment for 3HW003 (at least 5 examples).
Copy and paste your reference list for these references.
(Note: These copy and paste activities do not count towards the word count).
When you have completed these activities, you need to write a reflective account of how you undertook these tasks.
(Note: This reflective piece does count towards the word count).

Patchwork-4 Communicating ideas through creative means (roughly 400 words)
Week-9 & 10
Copy and paste the poster design and layout for your poster for 3ED003.
If you have completed it, you can use exactly the same poster that you submit for 3ED003.
If you have not completed it, you can use an incomplete work in progress that shows your design decisions.
(Note: Copy and paste poster will not be counted in the word count and should be placed in the appendix-4)
Write a reflective account on how you designed your poster and what you learnt from doing this, including:
