Important Notice: The student is encouraged to fill this checklist and tick all areas before sending their papers to the instructor for review. The checklist should be filled for every response paper. Also, please see Common Errors after the checklist.

FILENAME AND FORMAT OF FILE:

File format should for Microsoft Word (DOCX extension). When saving the file, let Word add the extension!

Naming convention is: FirstName LastName DegreeCode CourseCode PaperCode (RP1, RP2, RP3, RP4, RP5, QUIZ)

*In the case of ACA-401D, there are both RP5A and RP5B.

For example:

4 The response paper has at least 5-7 well-placed citations from the prescribed study material for the period. However, aside from these 5-7 recommended minimum citations, other relevant sources of interest can also be cited.

5 The paper is about 3-5 pages in length (for response papers).

6 The paper does not engage in plagiarism (Grammarly rate <18%) the plagiarism rate must be reported (by the student) in the template.

FORM AND STYLE:

7 The paper is a Word document based on the current year EUCLID template (latest revision can be obtained the rom ACA instructor), which is singlespaced

8 The paper uses an appropriate rule of style, which is Turabian in-text / parenthetical (for RPs only). Other possible styles (the ask instructor for a green light) are WHO for international public health students or Oxford for some Commonwealthbased students.

9 The paper mentions in the topthe of page box if it is using the UK or US English (and may indicate the use of a particular rule of style). All other lines in the top of page box must be filled out / edited. The seven concepts selected from the course material and interacted with in the RP main text must be listed with page numbers.

10 If using US English, spelling and punctuation are consistent (punctuation is placed inside the quotation marks in the US system).

11 The paper applies the right Word Styles to the paragraphs, especially RP Head1, RPHead2, RP Normal, RP Quote, etc.

12 The use of the comma is mastered.

13 There are no blank lines (extra Enter / Line Break) in the document.

14 A spell check has been run several times (with the right type of English, US or UK) and Grammarly Premium has been used.

15 The paper makes references to sources using the intext/parenthetical citations (not footnotes which are for MPs).

16 The formatting of the sources in the works cited section is consistent, and the title should always be italicized.

17 Sentences are not too long, clear in intent, and have a logical flow (use However, Moreover, On the other hand, Accordingly, Yet,). Note that for RPs, the only source that a student is expected to cite is the course material from the LMS. It is allowed to cite a few other sources if used in the RP.

18 There is the use of personal pronouns such as I, me, etc. to express interaction with the concepts and contents of the course material. However, the use of phrases like I have learned is not encouraged as they do not express adequate interactions that would indicate opinion, criticism, and interactions. I disagree/agree with the author that I was surprised that are all good interactions.

Also, do not address the reader in the second person. Do not write Try to negotiate or You should consider or Consider the option

19 The paper does not contain contraction of words such as didnt, wouldnt, shouldnt, etc. All words have been spelled out in full.

Concepts that are too vague (1 word) or too long or questions

Missing space before ( or after ,

Turabian in-text formatting not properly done (e.g. using the authors first name) or confusing APA and Turabian

Not being interactive enough:

Student must be interactive in each RP and throughout, with sentences like:

-I was surprised that

-I notice that the authors emphasized

-I cannot agree with the author that
