The Australian Construction Law Newsletter (ACLN) Editorial Board is comprised of leading professionals involved with the construction industry. The ACLN publishers and board members encourage submissions for consideration for publication.
There is no set format that you need to follow we will consider all material relevant to the construction industry and of interest to our readers. In this regard, we encourage a mixture of material, including conference papers, articles, case notes, book reviews, and up-to-date analyses on important developments in construction law.
Assessment purpose:
The task comprises research writing output demonstrating the skills needed to research and analyze construction law.
It involves identifying, researching, evaluating, and synthesizing relevant factual, legal, and policy issues.
Course Objectives Assessed:
The assessment task gives effect to LAW3473 Learning Objectives; that is, on successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding [explain and apply] of a coherent body of knowledge [relevant to construction law] and underlying principles and concepts; the broader contexts within which legal issues arise [in this area (PO1/TLO1).
- Identify and articulate legal issues [relevant to construction law]; [comprehend legal and other materials]; apply legal reasoning and research to generate appropriate responses to legal issues; engage in critical analysis and make a reasoned choice amongst alternatives, and think creatively in approaching legal issues and generating appropriate responses (PO3/TLO3).
- Demonstrate the intellectual and practical skills needed to identify, research in an ethical manner, and evaluate and synthesize factual, legal, and policy issues [relevant to construction law] (PO4/TLO4).
- Communicate in ways that are effective, appropriate, and persuasive for legal and non-legal audiences, and collaborate effectively (PO5/TLO5).
