CCJ220 Counter-Terrorism Law
Case Analysis, OUA SP4 2024
Below are four short-answer questions, and you will select three out of the four questions to answer. Each question is worth 10 marks each, for a total of 30 marks and 40% of the course.
- Students can choose to answer question 1 or 2
- Students must answer questions 3 and 4
To answer them, please access the following sentencing judgment: https://www.austlii.edu.au/cgi-bin/viewdoc/au/cases/vic/VSC/2020/750.html
For questions 1 and 2, you can rely solely on the sentencing judgment. For questions 3 and 4, you should conduct some additional, independent research. You should aim for 3-5 additional sources to strengthen your responses. One of the sources can be the textbook set for readings in Week 3 of the course content (Hardy, 2019).
Please follow the APA7 format and include a reference list. The total word limit is 1500 words (+/- 10% without penalty). The reference list is not included in the word limit.
This means an average of 500 words for each question, but there is no word limit for each individual question, so you can allocate slightly more or less to each if you prefer.
The assignment is due by Sunday Week 7 (12 January, 11:55pm AEST). Please upload your document via the Assessments module on the Canvas page.
