A 40 years old female patient suffered from right hip pain and restricted range of motion. She presented her X-ray image and required a total hip replacement (Figure 1).
You are asked to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the implant listed below and select the one most suitable for this patient and explain in details the rationales of your choice.

You should firstly describe the radiographic image and discuss the feature of the case, including the age, gender and the diagnosis of the patient.
Clinically, the above two types of implants have been used for different patients who need total hip replacement. They all have their own benefits and complications.
Compare and Contrast the advantages and disadvantages of each implant in relation to the case.
The essay should include Introduction, explain the design features of each type of implant, advantages and disadvantages of each type of implant, their biomechanical and biological features and clinical results, and finally your conclusions.
For bearing surface, you should discuss different combination between the femoral head and acetabular cup, their advantages and disadvantages, and clinical indication in relation to this patient.
