Introduction
You have been engaged by Terrence and Quinn Chiu for the construction of a two-storey house.
They have recently purchased the land at Lot 70 Potts Drive and are excited to have the house built.
The plans and specifications have been drawn up, the contract has been signed, and the required materials have been estimated, and now it is up to you to begin planning the building and construction work.
As you are hoping to begin construction soon, you will need to:
- Review the contract documentation
- Determine and submit the required approvals
- Prepare a project plan and associated documentation, and
- Organise an inspection of the adjacent properties to complete a condition report.

A few issues have arisen.
You have finally gotten a response from the supplier of the materials for the second-floor slab. They have stated that they wont have the materials available for some time, and the earliest that they could fulfil an order will be 20/10/2022
One of the owners of the adjacent properties has informed you that they are not available to perform the site inspection on 2/9/2022, but would be able to do the inspection the following Friday 9/9/2022
The subcontractor responsible for installation of the garage door has informed you that they are unable to perform the work on the week of the 7/11/2022, as they are having an operation that week. They can, however, do the work any day in the week before the initially scheduled date, or any day the week after.
You will need to revise the project path based on these changes,
Using the GANTT chart, you prepared in Part 4, adjust the project path based on this new information, including any changes necessary to the critical path.
Ensure you update the start and finish dates of tasks as required.
