There is an increasing need for organisational leaders to understand best practice in research and to know how to use theoretical perspectives, theories, models, frameworks to develop meaningful and pertinent organisational solutions. In this module, you will gain an understanding of how knowledge is generated, presented and disseminated and the role that critical management inquiry plays in decision making for senior managers. In this assessment, you will demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of various perspectives and findings we have explored during the module and any pertinent perspectives to further understand and solve your own organisational challenges.
For this assessment, you will need to identify and justify a pertinent management challenge relevant to your own organisational context (e.g. change project, sustainability initiative, etc). In the main analysis, you will then need to identify a pertinent theoretical perspective, being critical of its strengths and weaknesses so that you can then recommend changes to shape practice in your organisation. These recommendations will need to focus on justifying both the content and the implementation of these changes.
