The aim of this assessment task is to write an essay that explores the relationship between nursing, midwifery and the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

You will need to explore concepts such as: cultural safety, social determinants and cultural determinants of health, historical and contemporary impacts, structure and power, racism and discrimination.

Using the poster that you created from assessment 2, formulate a discussion on the complex relationship between the concepts above. You might like to give examples from your learning in the unit or from your personal experiences.
