Research question: Does economic inequality increase crime rates?
Introduction:
There are wide varieties of economic inequality, most notably income inequality which can be measured through the identification of increased crime rates in researched locations. The unequal distribution of income and opportunity between different classes of society is a major concern in most countries, it is recognised as the result of increased crime rates. This report will explore statistics across two different demographic areas of Sydney, it will involve the comparison of Eastern and Western Sydney suburbs as well as the level of crimes that are being conducted in these specific locations.
