Today's new (to my current life) way of using my selected Signature Strength involved:
Today, I decided to use my signature strength of gratitude in a unique way. I have always been someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, but today I decided to express my gratitude towards it directly. I spent the day outdoors, taking the time to appreciate the natural world around me and expressing my thanks for its existence.
When contemplating this new experience, I asked myself questions like:
- How did I feel before, during, and after using my strength in a new way?
- Did time seem to pass quickly when I was using my strength in a new way?
- Did I find using my strength in a new way challenging or easy?
- Did I lose my sense of self-consciousness when I was using my strength in a new way?
- Do I plan on repeating this new way of using my strength—why, why not?
These are the conclusions that I reached:
During the process, I felt a deep sense of peace and connection. I found myself marvelling at the beauty of the trees, the sound of the birds, and the feel of the wind on my skin. I took the time to thank each element of nature I encountered, from the smallest flower to the vast sky above me. Time seemed to slow down, and I felt completely immersed in the experience.
later on, I felt a profound sense of contentment and joy. Expressing my gratitude to nature was more rewarding than I had anticipated. It was neither easy nor challenging; it felt natural and right. I found myself feeling more connected to the world around me and more aware of the beauty that exists in every moment.
I definitely plan on repeating this new way of using my strength. The experience was deeply rewarding, and it gave me a new feel of the world around me.
