Background
Developing a property defined and documented project scope is touted to be one of the key successful factors of effective project management. Hypothetical Case Your parents or guardians wish to construct their "DREAM HOME" and thus have requested you to be their project manager. The definition of their "DREAM HOME is a customised high- quality and sustainable house with at least 2 storeys, a basement garage and a lap pool on a land of 900 square metres.
Your tasks include:
- talking to your parents or guardians, identifying their criteria and requirements of their "DREAM HOUSE. to help developing your Project Scope Statement (PSS)
- creating the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the "DREAM HOUSE project (in the tree diagram format)
- creating the WBS Dictionary, based on the WBS developed (ie., item 2), highlighting the details of the tasks and activities (statement of work or work package description). and deliverables.
