1. So relate to Case Study the first Question is what were the problems that bought Nissan to the brink of bankruptcy?

Due to Poor financial Performance Nissan were going to brink of bankruptcy. This poor performance were happened by joint result of declining sales and excessive costs, and weak management which was the primary reason for the failure to resolve these problems. Moreover along with this, many more problems were related to this failure condition such as; Management lacked a coherent strategy, a strong profit orientation, and a clear focus on customers.
So clearly we can connect it to the lack of leadership style such as Analytical Ability, Business Knowledge, Creativity and many more.

2. Second is which steps did Ghosn and his teams undertake to revive Nissan?

Being a Non-Japanese Ghosn has taken courage to take so many steps which helps to revive Nissan. This indicates a True Leadership style. However Following Steps were taken at that time to revive Nissan;

3. What type of Leadership traits, behavioral and contingency styles did Ghosn demonstrate to climb up his Business leadership ladder?

Carlos Ghosn has both traits in his leadership style. Such as in Primary traits he has the Personal Drive and Energy, He has desire to lead the company and most important things he has the Self confidence. Secondly, He has the knowledge of Business, Analytical ability, Creativity & originality, Flexibility & adaptiveness, Personal warmth which indicates his secondary traits.
To sort out his behavior style he has the positive leadership behavior. He emphasized the employee with rewards. A merit-based pay plan was established which motive his employee to work for rewards. However, We can find that he has taken the Autocratic Leadership style to centralized power & decision making. However by this he has taken the quick decision for company which helps company to re-come back in the market.
Also he used the Path-Goal of Contingency Style for identifies employee needs, Goals set, connects rewards with goals by merit based pay plan. Ghosn were sharply defined employees areas of to employee to achieve goals by hired innovative designers and encouraged them to be innovative rather than merely copying competitors.
