Resit Instructions Overview

Resit Coursework is due at 23:30 on 10th July 2023. Please aim to submit by 15:00 so you can avoid any technical issues that might occur with late submissions.

All submissions are due on the 10th July and the university will accept no responsibility for difficulties in making submissions after 15:00. If you DO NOT submit, your grade will be “0”.

Please be advised that resit assessment instructions that appear on the Moodle site are viewable by all students. Just because you see the instructions does not mean you are required to undertake a resit. You are only required to undertake a resit assessment if you are advised by the Progression and Award Board through the results letter you can see on the portal.

Please check your Student profile and results page on a regular basis for notification or any resits you will be required to undertake.

Although our regulations allow EC submissions for the resit period, they are different from the normal submission during the academic year in two ways. The two key points are below.

Resit coursework submitted up to ten working days after the official submission deadline set by the Module Leader will be accepted and marked only where an Extenuation Panel has accepted as valid the reason for the late submission. Under such circumstances, the work will be marked and, if it meets the criteria for a pass, the mark will be capped at the minimum pass grade.

Where resit coursework is submitted after the set deadline and an Extenuation Panel does not accept as valid the reason for the late submission, a non-submission (NS) and 0% or fail will be recorded against this item of assessment.

Assignment: Empirical Project
The resit for the empirical project follows the same structure as the original assignment. I have uploaded the tasks for the RESIT Empirical Project on moodle: RESIT empirical project 2023 File. Additionally, I have uploaded an Excel file that you will use to provide all the answers: RESIT Empirical Project Submission Template File. Both files will be made available on June 10, and you can start working on the project from that date. The deadline is 10/07/2023, 11.30pm, but submission at 3pm is encouraged (see above). You will work on the resit project alone. No collaboration is permitted. Please consider any feedback you may have received and submit your revised assignment.
