This assessment represents 30% of the overall grade in this unit.
Introduction
The purpose of this Assignment is familiarise yourself with the business models applied to real-life businesses and the approaches adopted by design entrepreneurs.
By looking at all aspects of a business, you will be able to identify any distinguishing features of a business value proposition; its resources, partnerships and organising principles; its customer base. Not every business you encounter necessarily adopts a business model that is financially sustainable or aligned with the values of your own venture idea.

Assignment Task
Your task is to provide a written analysis of at least three business cases, using a clear analytical framework drawn from the readings you have been provided. You might decide for example to use theSocial Startup Toolkitas a framework (using the Social Enterprise Blueprint. Alternatively, you might decide to use the effectuation model as a framework.
Decide on this before you begin a series of interviews with business owners. Youmust use a creative or design-relatedbusiness, which may span agencies, software developers, arts organisations and not-for-profits.
