Currently, different marketers and traders are using the internet as an advertising tool to promote the growth of their business. By doing so the advertisements are conveyed up to a large number of populations which encourages the growth of individual businesses. The internet has become the most popular advertising medium in today’s world.
With the conduction of the research an intricate knowledge about the use of internet in the adverting aspects could be well acknowledged. With increasing competition promotion via advertising mediums has become a crucial factor of success for companies. As this helps in targeting the right market segment therefore the research study has provided the opportunity to understand the kind of opportunity internet advertising has provided in promoting business aspects.

Research Aim

The main aim of the concerned research project proposal is to find out whether the internet is the most popular means of advertising or not in the present generation of technology. The effectiveness of the internet in reaching up to a large number of people for promoting ones business with the help of advertisements over the internet have been shown. For this research Facebook is a best company which is using internet advertising in a best way and getting more success through the biggest internet platform in current generation.

At that time there were no term known as “Internet”. People used to get aware of the introduction of various products and services with the help of the above mentioned tools. Such advertisements used to reach up to a certain number of crowds as the cost advertisement via televisions, magazines, newspapers, banners and hoardings were too expensive. But in this generation Facebook is a biggest platform which are been used by billions of people and it is the most popular means of platform to advertise and reach up to billions of people. However with the introduction of the internet among the common people, everybody started connecting with each other from all parts of the world using various social media applications. Currently, the use of social media and internet access has increased so much that people spend almost 60% of the day using such apps with the help of the internet. People have become extremely addictive towards the use of internet. This fact has been used up by the marketers in planning their business strategies and attracting more customers by creating innovative and appealing advertisements over the internet.
The Facebook is used up by the majority population of a place. According to a survey it has been found out that out of 10 people almost 7 to 8 people have access to internet and are addictive towards the use of Facebook .In the opinion of (Shen et al. 2016) it has been found out that the internet has helped in conducting the exchange of data, goods and services from one place to another. An addictive behavior has been noticed among the internet users. The marketers have applied a strategy of promoting their business with the help of Facebook as a platform so that it can reach up to a large number of audiences.
The use of smart phones has become extremely common among the masses. The internet is mostly used by the use of mobile phones. People do not always carry their computer of laptop along with them wherever they go because that is not possible. It is the mobile phone that is a portable tool for Facebook, which every individual carry along with them wherever they go. Therefore it can be easily understood that if the advertisements are provided in the mobile phones they it can reach up to a widespread mass in a short period of time through Facebook. By the advertisement through Facebook with the use of the internet, retailers, manufacturers and service providers can avail the consumers with attractive offers and schemes. In the viewpoint of (Campbell & Marks, 2015). it has been found out that effective advertising through Facebook includes certain considerable factors. The factors are good content of the advertisement, consideration of advertisement goals and the elements of the ad, determination of the market factors and the outcome metrics of the advertisement. This has helped several small budget businesses to grow its business by creating online websites over the internet and creating the advertisement of products and services which a particular company intends to serve (Valaei, Rezaei, Ismail & Oh, 2016).
From the analysis of the above sections it can be easily concluded that the Facebook is the most effective, efficient and useful means of advertising among others. As mentioned earlier, all the other medium of advertisements are expensive so it is not possible for low budget businesses to advertise their company. However, Facebook is a free of cost platform where marketers can place their advertisement by creating websites and official brand pages on social media applications. Advertising through the Facebook can be of paid as well as non-paid. In case of paid advertisement more facilities are provided to the marketer to promote their business over the internet. Advertising is the primary component of any company’s promotion mix of the brand. This is used to inform the target customers about the products of the concerned company with the help of the internet. By advertising through the Facebook, marketer can provide consumers who try to follow the current fashion trend with new and updated products. This increases the sale of products of their business. With the internet access, people can easily connect with each other and their views directly with the markets (Lee & Hong, 2016).

People have largely got addicted of using Facebook through mobile phone and brand profiles which they check to get fed with new posts and pictures of products. People nowadays do not have much time to visit the store to shop due to their busy schedule. By the facility of online marketing and internet advertisement people can buy goods from their mobile sitting in their workplace (Zhao, Mahboobi & Bagheri, 2019). This motivates has been highly appreciated by the consumers. According to a survey it has been found out that most of the people choose internet as the best advertising means among all others and for that mobile adverting by Facebook helps to get more audience and earn more revenue day by day.

In order to complete the research work on the concerned topic, information and data have been collected by the secondary data collection method which includes quantitative data. The necessary data and information have been gathered from different sources which include last 7 years publically available financial report of the Facebook Company.
For this research Facebook come on top in advertising online from different platforms.
So Facebook advertising has most impact on the generating good revenue as well reaching maximum number of people worldwide.
