LAWS2013 Torts Law Assignment

• Prepare a reflective journal entry of approximately 150 words for 10 weeks of seminars. You may choose any 10 weeks between week 1 and week 13. (The entire reflective journal is due at the end of week 13. Week 8 is the midsemester break.)
• The entire journal should not exceed a strict word limit of 1500 words (does not include footnotes and headings).
• Students can only submit a reflection entry for weeks they have attended class (either online or face to face). Seminar tutors will keep records of attendance and participation, and provide these to the Subject Coordinator as evidence of students’ attendance. These records will be checked and no marks will be allocated for reflection entries for a week in which the student was not recorded as attending class.
• As students can select 10 out of a possible 12 weeks to write the reflective journal entries, students who miss a week of classes due to illness or misadventure will NOT be granted consideration for their missed attempt. It is strongly recommended that students start working on this assessment from week 1.
• The reflective journal entries may consist of any of the following, and this can be different for different weeks’ entries: what that week’s seminar contributes to your overall understanding of that part of torts law; what you learned about torts law in the professional legal practice context from that week’s seminar; what you learned about the extent to which the part of torts law covered in that week’s seminar, achieves a purpose or purposes of torts law; other reflections on the class discussions or professional skills covered in that week’s seminar (e.g. giving legal advice supported by relevant authority).
