Businesses employ a number of strategies to gain competitive advantage over their competitors. Many times, the outcome is influenced by the strategies of their competitors, changes in the business environment and ability of the leadership influences the businesses strategy and response. There is also increasing importance of balancing financial, environmental, and social responsibilities to stay competitive.
Assessment TaskDescription
For this assignment, you are required to selectSheinas a company for the analysis (Focus only on their UK operations) and complete the following tasks.
- Perform a SWOT and PESTEL analysis for Shein.
- From the analysis in task 1, Discuss the strengths and weaknesses you have identified in task 1 impacting the opportunities and threats using the PESTEL factors you had discussed to suggest recommendations for Sheinto effectively achieve its strategic goals. LO1 Linked to LO5?
- Discuss the six types of leadership suggested by Daniel Goleman. Recommend a suitable leadership style that will suit Shein if it decides to open an office in the UK. LO3
- Identify any three important stakeholders of Shein and recommendtwo policies and strategies to meet their expectations of each of the stakeholders identified. L04
- If you are appointed as consultant to guide Shein, discuss three suggestions to overcome any criticisms relating to social and environmental responsibilities. LO2
