PART B: SUPPORTING STATEMENT/ PHILOSOPHY STATEMENT
Physiological well-being and sustainable support management both are significant aspects that can improve socio-cultural development and improve the efficiency of early education for the children.Curious Mind Early Education Centrefollows a developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive approach of learning that values respect, cooperation and individuality (Curious Mind Early Education Centre 2020). Located in the multicultural area, the centre pays close attention to multiculturalism and holds diverse cultural celebrations to raise childrens awareness about sociocultural diversity.
The educational philosophy of the centers focuses on play-based learning as well as reflecting the national and state of Victoria curriculum including the Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Victorian Curriculum (Brown & Whittle 2021). It focuses on development of the cognitive domain especially through use of language and interactive stimuli. In this way educators joining hands with families make it possible to make rich learning experiences that are individual, developmentally appropriate and effective.
In contrast to the framework of Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), it can be argued that, it is essential to focus on both leadership and stakeholder management in order to implement these physiological ideology and educational framework in the organisation. In this particular study, supporting statements of reflective practices have been discussed in context with leadership management, communication, collaboration and different types of Pedagogical practices.
Community
Curious Mind pays a lot of attention to such values as community participation because learning is not limited to classrooms. As for the centres meaningful practice, Bush Kinder and participation in First Nations peoples culture, that helps the children to develop an appreciation of nature and culture. Through engaging and effective stakeholders management, Curious Mind guarantees the children's development offers a learning approach in a qualitative, healthy and educated manner (Curious Mind Early Education Centre 2024). Looking at the leadership I can state that leadership is the key to developing a child and educator-friendly setting. I try to hear it from my team and families regarding their experience in relation to my decisions concerning the centre and learning. I engage my staff and community to ensure that the policies being implemented meet the cultural needs of the families hence making the centre culturally sensitive. This is why I prefer to come up with ideas and implement them based on the model courageous leadership for childrens rights and voice being at the core of our activities; all children should feel valued and their voices heard at school.
Leadership roles
Effective leadership management is a significant part of workplace management that helps to manage the implementation strategies and develop a proper decision making in order to make a sustainable change management (Bagga, Gera & Haque 2022). As per my view, effective management of leadership in Curious Mind Early Education Centre can improve the commitment to continuous learning and professional development as well as increase the potentiality of early education and development for the children.
Thinking of myself as a leader, I always ponder about the ways in which my management affects the cultural climate as well as organizational policies at the centre. This is why I think that speaking out is particularly important for leaders and enacting change in pursuit of the best interest of children and families. Thinking about my role I understand that in order to effectively meet the needs of the children in our centre, it is imperative that we develop good relations with the families and the community. When working with educators, families, and community members, I can come up with a vision on how to positively support students development in the social aspects. Reflective leadership also aims at encouraging educators to come up with new solutions and implement them in their practice for students that they teach.
Family (Support management)
Parenting and family support is a significant strategy in early child education that helps to improve the engagement of children in education and different positive behavioural approaches (Jeong et al. 2021). Analysing the roles associated with families in the independent learning process, I conceive that families are essential to a childs learning process. Regarding parents, we continue to foster friendly and lasting relationships of cooperation where we use both online and offline means of communication. When thinking about some of the feedback that has been given me by families, I always consider how they might be helped more effectively and engaged in their childrens learning. I can see with the close cooperation with the families how one can facilitate a learning environment that is in line with the home environment. It is in this light that this reflection helps in bridge the gap between home and our centre to ensure that all the children are well protected and loved in equal measure as they are nurtured to embrace their discovery process and learn actively.
Educators (Pedagogical practices and legislative requirements)
Reflective practice is necessary in order to develop and improve the given forms and means of instruction. Teachers who engage in formative assessments over the lesson plans, student Class behaviour and learning goals will be in a position to make continuous change for improvement of the students (Heikka et al. 2019). In this way, the teachers utilising this reflective method might be confident that their lessons respond to the newest data regarding the physical, psychological and social-emotional development of young children (Seidenberg, Cooper Borkenhagen & Kearns 2020). It can then be used to make the required changes which would enhance the ability to interest all the students.
Policy implementation is dependent on an understanding of the legal requirements together with their compliance. Bright techniques help in ensuring that the instructors are well informed about the changes in law and regulations (Phillips, Ritchie & Adair 2018). Teachers can advocate reforms that are more helpful to early childhood education in regard to these criteria because these criteria impact the functionality and learners performance. For example, contemplation about following health and safety procedures might uncover issues with current policy concerning contentious policies and practices that retain inadequate policies that protect the wellbeing of every learner and compel instructors to speak for stringent policies up to par with the health standards of each learner (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare 2020).
I will state that people of the centre are the main strength of the centre. They are not only persons who facilitate the childs education, but also the persons who have to protect children and contribute to their further growth. In particular, as a team of teachers, we have learned how to engage in reflection with the aim to assess the impact of the existing teaching strategies on childrens learning. The development of a program that will enable CPD contributes to having informed educators about the research that is currently available in the latter field and the available teaching methods. Lastly, I explain and evaluate how they challenge prejudice-diversity and diversity-inclusive learning during the practice for a day. I always encourage members in my team to always do self-check on their teaching so as to be useful in supporting love for learning in children.
Learning environment
Positive environment is significant in child development and integrated reflection assists the teacher in creating a teaching environment that protects and supports learning (Lehrl, Evangelou & Sammons 2020). For this reason, constant check-ups of the physical and the emotional climate in the classroom make it possible to alter the current structure to promote the development of the learners. Teachers should sometimes consider the pros and cons of the different layouts and other items and processes within the class; it would be much easier for one to arrange the class in a way that will suit children and at the same time consider their creativity and curiosity. Integration of culture also plays a significant role in order to develop a positive learning environment for early educators (Szelei, Tinoca & Pinho 2019). For example, a teacher may have to have to change the orientation of the area of the class in order to facilitate more collaborative play because he or she may have noted how the children play with zones of the classroom.
In my perspective, Good learning environments need to represent all of their members and incorporate the opinions of all stakeholders. Positive facilitation of children's interactions, interests, and involvement should be integrated in the surroundings of organisations such asCurious Mind Early Education Centre. Children should be able to develop and look for risky play chances in the outdoors that fit with the "potentiating" environment.
