Leadership Management Assignment

The assessment asks you to complete the following tasks:

• Write a reflective account of two of your own work and/or personal experiences that have helped for you as a leader.
• In your account, explain how these work and/or personal experiences helped form your approach to leadership
• In your account, discuss what you learned from each of these experiences.
• Discuss the formative experiences in relation to Western's four discourse of leadership and any other theories of leadership you have studied that could be relevant.
• Analyse and reflect on your own leadership assumptions by responding to the following questions:
  1. What is/was your personal leadership valency? (Western, 2019, p.316- 316).
  2. How does/did your leadership practice match with your leadership assumptions?
  3. Do/did you practice your preferred leadership discourse, or do pressures pull you into another discourse? (Western, 2019, p.330).
