1. Description of Dispute (400 words)


1.1 Background to Dispute (100 words)


You must explain what the dispute is about, including the context, money, status and costs incurred due the dispute.


1.2 Description of the Challenger (150 words)


You must provide a brief description of the challenging party, including their background. Although, most importantly, the challenger initiates the dispute, you must identify and explain the reasoning for the challenger to initiate the conflict. Typically, the challenger has been aggrieved in some capacity.


1.3 Description of the Suspect (150 words)


The suspect is the party that is believed to create an issue the has caused an issue for the challenger. For this section, you must explain the logic for why the suspect believes the issue is not their fault. There could be other contributing factors to the dispute, such as a miscommunication or large variation to works.


2. Analysis of Negotiation Techniques (1400 words)


2.1 Negotiation Techniques (200 words per technique)


You must select at least four techniques or strategies used during the roleplay in assessment 3. 2 of the techniques/strategies selected must have been used by the challenger and two by the suspect. You will have to explain how the technique/strategy functions as well as the typically desired effect the technique/strategy aims to elicit. WSU Harvard intext and citations should be used to add validity to the information.


Note: For this section you are not reflecting on these techniques. You must select the four techniques and explain what they are if they were used perfectly. Some of this discussion should talk about the correct situation or negotiator they should be used against.


2.2 Reflection on Negotiation Techniques (150 words per technique)


Reflect on these four techniques utilised. Identify if the method was executed effectively and if it achieved the desired reaction. Explain if the execution of the technique could be improved in future disputes.


3. Agreement Pathway and Resolution (800 words)


3.1 Agreement Pathway (250 words)


There are two agreement pathways that can be selected, a distributive or integrative pathway. You must identify and explain the characteristics of the pathway that you believe best resolves the issue fairly so that a long-term relationship can be built, and reputation maintained. You must explain how the agreement pathway achieves a fair outcome that maintains reputation. WSU Harvard intext and citations should be used to add validity to information.


Note: You must explain a pathway you think is best. It may not be the pathway you used in assessment 3. For example, if you presented a distributive pathway for assessment three, you could change it to an integrative pathway for this assessment.


3.2 Reflection on Agreement Pathway (150 words)


The agreement pathway selected in the roleplay should also be reflected upon. Is there room for improvement and if so, how have you improved the agreement pathway in the final assessment.


3.3 Resolution (250 words)


The resolution to the dispute must be explained. This includes both exchange of remuneration such as money as well as the timing of the remuneration. You must explain how both remuneration and timing is essential to strike an agreement. WSU Harvard intext and citations should be used to add validity to information.


You must explain how the resolution is fair for both parties (practical solution). You must explain why the given solution is a practical solution. WSU Harvard intext and citations should be used to add validity to information.


You must also explain symbolic remuneration and how the action should be delivered to ensure a good relationship and reputation is maintained.


Note: You must explain a resolution you think is best. It may not be the resolution you used in assessment 3. You can improve based on feedback.


3.4 Reflection on Resolution (150 words)


You must reflect on the resolution made during your roleplay assessment. You must identify if the resolution went well and matches what you believe to be a success (fair practical solution). You should explain if the resolution from your roleplay could be improved.


3.5 Refection on this Subject (250 words)


You must reflect on the subject and what you have learnt throughout this semester. You should include:
