Topic overview
You will draw upon a workplace or organisational situation you have experienced, where employee motivation and/or engagement levels were suboptimal. You will create an investment logic map and develop an evidence-based strategy to remedy the aforementioned organisational issues and write a report detailing how the strategy can be implemented.

In a recent senior management meeting, the COO raised an issue she had noticed within a particular department. In recent months, staff within the aforementioned department have been exhibiting lower levels of motivation and engagement. You have been tasked with writing up an investment logic map and implementation proposal to assist the CEO with this problem.
Rationale
The intention of this assessment is to assess your ability to clearly and succinctly communicate the following at a high level:
- the range of factors that are currently demotivating or disengaging staff in a particular area within your organisation;
- derive realistic response options for consideration by executive-level management; and,
- select the most appropriate response to develop a specific strategy for implementation to improve said issues, and hence, foster successful business outcomes.
Process
Part A: Investment Logic Map (size limit: 1 x A4 page)
Create an investment logic map that displays/articulates:
employee motivation and/or engagement problems within your workplace potential responses to the stated problems solutions to your responses expected benefits from implementation of a selected solution.
Part B: Implementation Proposal Report (limit: 750 words)
In a 750 word report:, develop a detailed workplace strategy to address the specific set of motivation and/or employee engagement issues raised within your organisation.select the most appropriate solution from your investment logic map
