Overview
- Imagine you 're working as a marketing research analyst for a transnational conglomerate (a large umbrella organisation that includes many different companies and brands in many different industries).
- Your VP of Strategic Planning does not suffer fools. She demands high quality competitor analyses in succinct five-minute presentations (she prefers not to read).
- She has tasked you to deliver a concise, engaging and insight-rich presentation about a competitor's marketing strategy.
Task
- 1. Choose one of the following companies for your analysis:
- Komatsu
- Chipotle
- Hugo Boss
- Assume the three brands above compete in some way against one of the brands in your conglomerate. Hence, you are analysing one of the brands above from the point of view of a competitor.
- Analyse and present on the marketing strategy and mix of your chosen competitor.
- Your analysis should include a five-minute video and a concise script (saved in Word) with references.
- You can record your presentation on your phone or webcam and host it online (steps below). You video should show you talking to the camera.
- You can write your script in Word. Your script can be a typed up version of your presentation, or it can be simple point-form version that you are using as a prompt when you are talking in the video. But it must be referenced.
