- Reflect on your experiences as a nursing student whilst in your residential/laboratory school and ask yourself how you can improve your communication, teamwork, infection control, safety, medication management, and vital signs assessment, as well as develop skills and strategies for assessing, planning, managing, and evaluating individuals experiencing acute illness and episodic health concerns across the lifespan.

- Write a brief introduction or overview of your reflection
- Personal and professional reflection - this is in the first person self-reflective discussion and includes your feelings about what you thought you did well during the residential school; what errors or near misses did you see; how can you improve in the future in – communication, teamwork, infection control, patient cares and safety, medication management, primary survey, vital signs and planning and managing the individuals under your care while experiencing acute illness across the lifespan.
- Evaluation/Analysis write in the third person based on your reflection and discussion of the literature in relation to the topic of how to improve in general nursing practice and what measures are needed to ensure effective outcomes for the patients (eg. To reduce medication errors/ improve infection control, the literature states….)
