S1: Report on partnership working with people who use services

This report will need to show your theoretical understanding of issues surrounding partnership work in health and social care, as well as its application to work related scenarios, either from your own work context or making use of a publicly available case study.

Throughout your work towards S1, you will need to keep areflective journal (roughly from week 2 to week 9) in which you will write weekly on matters related to the taught content and how these might impact on your own understanding of the various historical moments, theories and models, also being related to your own beliefs, values, and your ability to critically engage towards your and others self-improving.

Your work for S1 can be structured as following:

1)A historical account(around 900 words).

Describe the partnership history related to the field of health and social care, chose one particular aspect or era from this history and then explain how you would situate your Health and Social Care (HSC) organisation or a case study within that historical period, also from the perspective of any issues that might arise around values and ethical dealings.

2)A theoretical account(around 900 words).

Describe at least one partnership-related theoretical perspective and one model and then apply your understanding of these to your chosen HSC organisation, being it yours or from a case study.

3)An integration of your reflective journal for a better understanding and application of specific historical and theoretical material.(around 600 words).

Use your reflective journal to provide a more in depth understanding and explanation of why certain historical periods, as well as theories and models are important for our understanding of partnership work in health and social care.

* TheReport on partnership working(S1) will be marked according to the following criteria, which will form the basis for a Marking form:

-Ability to explain key theories (25%) around values and ethical development of partnership work in health and social care practice;

-Ability to apply a theory to a practical partnership context from the Health and Social Care Practice, being it form your own experience or a case study (25%);

-Ability to reflect on the connection between theory and a practical partnership context from a HSC practice, being it form your own experience or a case study (25%).

-Amount of research and range of sources used (15%) the amount of sources as well as their quality and justification of choice;

- Written communication skills: structure (including word count), appearance, spelling, punctuation, grammar and paragraphing (10%).
