PICX110 - Introduction to Security Studies - Literature Review

Students are to write an 800-word literature review on three sources listed in the Course Unit from Week 3- Week 13. You will need to review two required readings and a recommended reading. You should select readings that will be relevant or useful to your final research paper.
You need to summarize and critically evaluate each source in around 250 words, so you should ensure that each source is substantial enough for you to provide this level of detail. Therefore, for the purpose of this assignment, select only academic journal articles, book chapters, and formal professional/government reports from the required reading list. Do not review short commentaries, media sources, or website content for this exercise.
A basic literature review at the minimal should provide a brief summary, identify the key argument(s) of each selected work, and critically evaluate the strength and limits of the literature. Your literature review needs to demonstrate you have conducted preliminary research for your research essay.
Please use the Harvard in-text citation system for this assignment. A bibliography, which will not be counted towards your 800-word limit, must be included after the literature review.
