Note: Task C is asking you to identify an error with each of the four section AND comment on how it should be changed to be correct. You should be looking for actual errors and not grammatical or ways to make the sentence sound better. Include SPSS output for this TASK in Appendix C. Reminder: there can be more than one error in each section.
For EACH Section, copy the whole section of the report that has been provided to you and highlight (literally colour it) the errors in the section. They have been highlighted in yellow in the example below. In the next section, you want to explain WHY it is an error. Dont just say the values were wrong. If possible, explain further and provide statistical evidence to support your claim. Lastly, you will rewrite the whole report section and highlight (again, literally colour it) the corrections.
Section 1
Error: The results did not find a significant interaction, F(1, 30) = 1.07, p = .075, p2 = .38, and the main effect of ice-cream flavour was significant, F(2, 30) = 18.15, p < .001, p2 = .55.
Why it is an error: The reported F-ratio and p-value in the report were for the second main effect instead of the row for the interaction. The stats should be F(2, 30) = 18.09, p < .001. Because the p-value is less than .05, the interaction is significant.
Change to: The results showed a significant interaction, F(2, 30) = 18.09, p < .001, p2 = .38, and the main effect of ice-cream flavour was significant, F(2, 30) = 18.15, p < .001, p2 = .55.
