Power-point presentation: The presentation must be given on Microsoft PowerPoint slides (8-10 max.). You can be as creative you can be in designing your slides but the content of your presentation must include the following:
Title with name (1 slide)
Introduction (2 slides):
o A brief intro to the topic,
o Research aim,
o Research Objectives &
o Research Questions
Literature Review (1 slide):
o Findings from important 4-6 works of literature
o Gap analysis: What gap is present in the current literature that your study will address
Research Methodology (1 slide):
o Depiction of different stages of research methodology through Saunders Research Onion only
o Specify only your choices from each stage of the Research Methodology
Data Collection (1 slide):
o Data collection strategy
o Number of questions in your questionnaire
o Demography of your respondents (through pie charts)
o Type of sampling technique used
o Sample size
o Data collection tool
Analysis & Findings: (2-3 slides):
o Depict the opinions through pie charts with percentages (if quantitative)
o Present different themes that emerged after analysis (if qualitative)
o Interpretation and explanation of most important findings
o Evidence on achieving each of the framed objectives
o Finally concluding through a brief explanation
Conclusion & Recommendation (1-slide)
o Written to relate directly to the aims of the project as stated in the Introduction
o Acknowledge limitations and make recommendations for future work (where applicable)
o Highlight the significance or usefulness of your work.
3. Presentation Imperatives
You will be sharing your screen to display the PowerPoint presentation (No one else will do it for you). Hence test it before logging in.
Webcam must be ON during the entire presentation
Ensure a good internet connection that allows you to present while sharing your screen with the webcam on
Your Zoom login name must be your name for identification and not a pseudonym
Ensure all the required resources are ready (laptop/computer installed with the latest Zoom, working webcam & microphone, PowerPoint slides, proper lighting)
Note: Logging through a smartphone is strictly not allowed
Keep your phones switched off while presenting. Ensure that there are no external noise disturbances while presenting.
Testing of the equipment must be done beforehand and not on the day/time of the presentation- VERY IMPORTANT (trying to unsuccessfully test your equipment at the time of presentation will result in postponing your presentation)
Please send your PowerPoint presentation at the earliest or at least three days before the presentation day to your respective supervisor for approval. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
