Prepare a recommendation report on Strategic Management Process and Analysis

For this final piece of assessment, you are required to choose one particular company (out of those that you have analysed in assessment 1) and undertake a comprehensive strategic planning exercise for that business. You will need to conduct a detailed assessment of various components of Strategic Management Process and based on your analysis make conceptually and logically justified strategic recommendations for the chosen company.

Suggested Procedure:
1. Clearly describe your chosen organisation and industry.

2. Analyse the general environment (PESTLE Analysis - Download Template) of the Australian Rideshare Services Sector and discuss their strategic implications for the business you have chosen for this assignment.

3. Use Porter’s Five Forces Framework (Download Template) to analyse competitive environment of the industry, assess the nature /strength of the competitive pressures and suggest whether collective strength of the five forces (in your chosen industry) will be conducive to good long term profitability?

4. Based on your external analysis (conducted in points 1 and 3 above) and internal analysis (done in Assignment 1 - team project), conduct SWOT analysis and discuss its strategic implications for the business.

5. Combine the analysis done so far in this assignment with your analysis of this company's resources, capabilities, and core competencies done in Assignment 1 - Part A. Now, based on your overall analysis, recommend which of the business level strategies (Cost Leadership, Differentiation, Integrated etc) will be most appropriate for your chosen business and why do you believe so? You will need to provide a strong justification for your recommended choice and explain how it will help the business in maximizing the wealth of all its key stakeholders.

6. Identify which type of organizational structure the business currently follows, critically evaluate its existing organizational structure and suggest what changes will be necessary (if any) to align it more with the chosen business strategy.

7. Please make final recommendations and conclusion.
