TASK INSTRUCTIONS
This task requires you to produce a research paper that explores "best practice in terms of research ethics and methodology within an Australian First Nations context; and to make practical recommendations for implementing/promoting these approaches in daily life, workplaces and/or academic institutions.
It is recommended that you consider this paper in two parts when planning your research and writing.
Part 1:
Ethics and methodology in Australian First Nations research (best practice); relate to decolonization, ISTP, and self-determination. -research, summarize, findings. (1200-1500 words)
Part 2:
How can individuals, universities and/or workplaces contribute to these processes on practical level?-research, reflect/respond, recommendations. (800-1000words)
You do not have to present two separate sections for your paper (although you're welcome to if easier)- please just ensure you are covering both aspects of the research question.
- Total paper word limit (excluding references) 2000-2500 words. (10%)
- Please refer to the readings/links to assist you to complete this task.
- Feel free to refer to/use/adapt the research paper and literature review templates.
- Please submit your research paper complete with cover page and full APA 7 reference list.
Note:
- Research papers include a review of relevant literature with headings and possibly sub- headings that connect/flow in a logical order.
- You are required to research and present contemporary Australian First Notion perspectives that discuss the importance of ethical and methodological approaches that embed decolonization and Indigenous Standpoint in order to promote self-determination.
- Always begin with an introduction, define any key concepts, state your aims and intentions. A.Follow on with your research body (main topics listed as separate headings/sections) and present your research and findings in a logical way that refers back to the main topic/question/problem.
- Finally, tie off with a conclusion that recounts the aims and sections your proper and finishes with the major findings/outcomes/recommendations drawn from your research.
