This assessment requires students to produce over PowerPoint presentation which uses accurate medical terminology, clinical abbreviations and acronyms relating to each of the following:
diseases of the nervous system
diseases of the eye and adnexa
diseases of the ear and mastoid process
diseases of the circulatory system
diseases of the respiratory system
diseases of the digestive system
diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue
diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue
diseases of the genitourinary system
diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs and disorders involving the immune mechanism.
diseases of the endocrine system
diseases of nutritional system and metabolic disorders.
mental and behavioural disorders
Infectious and parasitic diseases
Each slide should include:
a brief description of two (2) diseases for each of these systems
two abbreviations commonly used in this system
two acronyms related to the system
the plural of one of the medical terms
Each slide should be read aloud (recorded voice over) and not exceed 1 minute per slide. The completed task is to be uploaded to Blackboard in the assessment 2 A folder.
