This task requires you to apply your understanding of behaviour change theories by designing a behaviour change intervention for the client you interviewed.The approved models/theories to use in this task include:Health Belief ModelTheory of Planned BehaviourTranstheoretical ModelSelf-Efficacy TheorySelf-Determination TheoryFollow the below steps for this task:1. In the report, concisely identify your clients behavioural goal, and how engaging in that behaviour will impact their psychosocial and mental well-being.2. Choose one of the behaviour change models/theories listed above. Design an intervention, including at least one behaviour change technique for each of the core constructs of that model/theory. Make sure you describe the link between each technique to the respective theoretical/model construct. 3. Provide research evidence to support the use of each behaviour change technique included in your intervention.Your submission for this task should not exceed 1000 words. Any content after the maximum word count will not be marked.
Client Overview
A 26-year-old female student at the university. she students full time ( 3 days a week)
She works 4 days a week and sometimes more if work is busy.
she finds herself eating a lot of takeaway food, she is always driving through MacDonalds to get something to eat.
she has no time and is very busy most days.
she knows that she is not eating well or meeting the recommended nutrient serves
she is always exhausted after work and uni and does not have time to cook fresh healthy meals.
She often finds herself tired and lacking energy throughout the day
She is worried about her health and weight gain.
She knows she should be eating healthy and understands the benefits of eating healthy, however, she is just lacking motivation and time in her busy schedule to prepare good meals.
Her goal is to increase fruit and vegetable intake.
She is ready to change her behaviour as she understands the importance and benefits of eating healthy.
She is currently worrying about her eating habits.
She believes health is wealth and when you eat trash you feel like trash.
Her readiness and confidence in change and maintaining good healthy eating habits is on 9 on a 0-10 scale
She is currently not doing much about her behaviour, however, in the past she tried to make some meal prep but this did not work as she intended due to her busy life
She stated that some of her friends have tried a few methods and found that the quick 5-minute recipes online have worked well and dont take time to prepare. She is happy to try this out with healthy meals. She is also happy to look into buying a slow cooker, which can help in preparing meals overnight and she can have good food the next day without having to stand in the kitchen for too long.
