Later in this assessment you will be required to design, instruct, record and evaluate the following 3 sessions:

  • Session 1: One 30-minute live online fitness session for one individual participant
  • Session 2: One 30-minute live online fitness session for a group consisting of at least 4 participants (up to a maximum of 8 participants)
  • Session 3: One 30-minute live online fitness session that uses resistance equipment for any chosen number of participants

Complete the following tasks as preparation for your live online sessions:

Scheduling:

  • Schedule a time and date to conduct each of your 3 live online sessions

Participants:

  • Find suitable participants (e.g. friends and family) who are available to participate in your scheduled sessions and meet the required participant numbers for each of your 3
  • Contact participants to gather information on their exercise history and have them complete and return the APSS Pre exercise Screening Tool to you prior to the session. Include electronic copies or scans of the completed pre-screening forms as an attachment with this assessment. You may remove names to maintain participant
  • Are there any participants who require referral to an allied health professional prior to participation?If yes, follow the appropriate referral procedure prior to participation.
  • Are there any participants who require exercise modifications based on the results of their pre- exercise screening? Explain the reason for modification and how you will accommodate the participant:

 Accessibility:

  • Find a suitable location from where you can instruct your 3 live online sessions
  • Identify exercise equipment that is suitable, safe and available for you and your participants to use during the sessions
  • Provide information to participants about the exercise equipment, technology and environment they require for the session

Session design:

  • Determine the type of fitness session and goals to be targeted for each of your sessions and summarise them

Technology research:

  • Research each of the following technologies that you may need to successfully deliver your live online fitness sessions
