Each student will be required to submit a three-page review of a peer-reviewed research study relating to a chosen topic. Please choose your topic from the topics document within the assignment folder (FYI-these are the same topics used for Assessment #2).

The research study you choose MUST be from a peer- reviewed academic journal (e.g. Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology: Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology). Additional examples of appropriate journals are provided in your subject outline as well as in Chapter 1 of your lecture notes. This study must be one that has been published in an academic, peer-reviewed journal after 2013 (anything before 2013 will NOT be assessed). The research study MUST be an intervention/experimental study. Literature, systematic reviews or meta-analysis are not permitted.

The written part of this assignment (pages 2-4) is a maximum of three pages (double-spaced). The approximate word limit associated with three pages is 850-1000 words. Two additional pages will be used for the APA student cover page (page 1) and for the reference page at the end (page 5). One review per student submitted via turnitin on Canvas. Turnitin similarity reports should always remain low, anything over 30% may be investigated.

In addition, your submission must adhere to the following format:

• The cover page (page 1) is formatted as per APA student cover page guidelines. Your subject outline provides a link describing this cover page.
• Margins set at normal default and the font is 12pt Times new roman or 11pt Arial,
• The reference for the journal article is to be place at the top of the second page (which is the first page of text) and MUST be in APA format. For the purpose of this document only, please single space the reference to Wed only for the reference, everything else must follow APA (double-spaced).
• The first part of your review should be a brief summary of the research study or experiment (1.c. in your own words, explain the purpose of the study/ experiment and describe what was done).
• The second part should be a description/explanation of the findings/results.
• The third part should outline implications for professional practice (this will require some critical thinking on your part).
• In the example (below), I have provided some guidelines concerning word approximations for each section. These are only guidelines to help with the organisation of the content, however please remember that three double- spaced pages are expected (approximate word count of 850-1000). A minimum of 850 words is expected, and the max page limit is 3 pages. no matter the word count.
• Include headings for the three sections as detailed in the example page (next page).
