There is growing concern that HRM has become too focused on the goals of shareholders and senior executives, at the expense of other stakeholders perspectives. Critics argue that this neglect of other stakeholders has been detrimental to the sustainability of HRM, and the role that business should play in society. They propose that HRM can more effectively manage people by seeking to meet the needs of all key stakeholders.
This assessment includes three key tasks:
Task 1: Theoretical Conceptualisation (500 words) = 6 marks
Please answer two basic questions related to stakeholder management using recent and relevant peer-reviewed journal articles (at least three journal articles published in the last 8 years).
Q1:How is a stakeholder-focused approach to HRM different to a shareholder-focused approach to HRM?
Q2:What are the challenges and opportunities for HRM adopting a more stakeholder-centric orientation?
Task 2: Case Study Analysis 1 (1000 words in total - 500 words for each question) = 12 marks

APA referencing style
You should write in paragraphs (not dot-point form!).
Once you have an idea of what you want to say (i.e. a list of key points, issues or themes), you need to organise them into a logical sequence. What key terms need defining? What point should come first, second, third etc?
Paragraphs should be based on one key idea. Try and look for links between ideas to help you develop a flow in your writing.
Begin each paragraph with a sentence that tells the reader what the paragraph is about.
