Assessment Task

You are tasked with a project report detailing the implementation of disruptive technologies or innovations within the hotel industry. Your report must evaluate the technologies/innovations and focus on the benefits and challenges of their implementation.

Please refer to the Instructions for details on how to complete this task.

Context

Ongoing technological advancements, particularly over the last few years, are changing the hotel industry. The implementation of new innovations in organisations have improved efficiency and filled service delivery gaps. This has assisted these organisations to gain competitive advantage by better serving their customers. In addition, technology innovations in hotel organisations have improved efficiency, enhanced guest experience, lowered staff workload and minimised costs.

Task Instructions

  1. Identify one or two hotel organisations that have implemented disruptive technologies or disruptive innovations in the last five (5) years.
  2. In the selected organisation(s), research examples of the entrepreneurial/intrapreneurial mindset and leadership of intrapreneurs.
  3. Evaluate the success of the technologies/innovations implemented in terms of guest
