Background The effectiveness of the HRM function in an organisation you are currently associated with.
More and more, organisational leaders are realising the importance of Human Resource (HR) departments in creating a thriving organisation. While many leaders are aware of the benefits of HR, theyre unsure of how to measure its effectiveness.
The task The CEO of your organisation has asked you to prepare a 500-word short response discussing the ins and outs of what makes HR impactful, as well as ways to measure and improve the effectiveness of the HR team.
You should use the progressive practices table as a template against which to evaluate the effectiveness of the HRM function.
Each focus area should be discussed in relation to associated workplace behaviours.
Consider the degree to which the chosen organisation measures up against the AHRI model of excellence (https://www.ahri.com.au/about-us/model-of-excellence/).
Where deficiencies are identified, suggest the causes and make recommendations for improvement.

1.Engage in research to find three to five credible, relevant and timely sources. You must use a minimum of TWO scholarly sources. As a starting point you will find relevant sources in the Assessment 1 folder.
Think of checking out the following sources for your assignment: books, chapters in books, journal articles, Internet Websites. Use the SCU Library website to do your research.
2.To avoid plagiarism, you must give credit whenever you use another persons work.
This means that whenever you use information obtained from another source including ideas, examples, theories or opinions, you must give a full reference to that source.
What has to be acknowledged?
Direct quotations
Paraphrases of another persons words or ideas
Summaries of another persons ideas
Tables, figures, graphs, diagrams or images obtained from any source
Information obtained from lectures.
Author name, publication year and page number(s) must be included when incorporating direct quotations into a sentence.
3. You are required to use EITHER the SCU Harvard style to cite (document) your sources https://libguides.scu.edu.au/harvard OR APA
4. Write your response in a short response format. No table of content required.
Use a plain serif font (e.g. Times New Roman).
Suggested font sizes are 12 for the text and 14 for the headings.
Double or 1.5 space.
Put page numbers in line with the right margin at the bottom of each page.
Use headings in the body to identify key themes.
5. Refer to the Assessment 1 Marking Criteria Guide and Marking Rubric located on the Blackboard under Assessment Tasks and Submissions.
6. Submit a draft to Turnitin and Grammarly.
7. Submit final to Turnitin via the Blackboard site no later than the due date: Monday 20th March 23:59 (AEST/QLD time).
