Your responses to the questions ought to demonstrate informed engagement, evidenced by references to Topic readings covered in this subject and any additional research. You are required to write responses to these 3 questions:

Formulated Questions:

Question 1:Identify one Indigenous community protocol (i.e. program) and explain whether it is an effective way forward to working effectively in Indigenous communities to address systemic issues like high youth incarceration rates.

Question 2:Evaluate whether the United Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) should be incorporated into Australian domestic legislation? If yes, reflect on whether this would be a positive step forward from all Australian governments to working in partnership with Indigenous Australian people?

Question 3:Critically reflect on some of the obstacles to achieving self-determination for Indigenous Australian people from both a historical and contemporary context. In your reflection, please consider the socio-economic and political policies, practices and ideological processes of colonisation which have impacted Indigenous Australian people and their culture.

Reference requirements:

Provide a reference list on a separate page at theend of your assessment. The reference list should use the AGLC referencing system. All sources that you cite in your assessment task must be included in the reference list. You may cite and reference the readings linked to the topics. Use in-text citations to identify other peoples ideas and words, following AGLC style. Quotes must be in quotation marks and the in-text citation must include the page number.
