This section should identify the most vulnerable to the HIV/AIDS population groups.
- Define and critically appraise the risk factors and the social determinants of the disease underlying the vulnerability of the population groups e.g. poverty or economic deprivation; occupation/unemployment; social marginalization; stigma & discrimination; addictions.
Policy, Management and Control Responses 20 marks
- Discuss the policies, interventions/provisions, management responses and control programmes that are implemented in Indonesia for the protection of the public's health.
- Present the roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders and organisations.
Critical assessment of the effectiveness of control responses 20 marks
- Critically assess the effectiveness of the policies, interventions and control programme based on existing evidence, monitoring and surveillance data. Determine if there are any weaknesses in the control responses or obstacles to their implementation.
Critical appraisal of the HIV/AIDS status quo in Indonesia and conclusions 20 marks
- Critically reflect and conclude on the status quo (situation) of HIV/AIDS in Indonesia in the recent years and outline any opportunities for improvement (i.e. efficiency and effectiveness).
