This assessment task requires you to complete a detailed traffic analysis on two occasions. If you are completing this in your RTO, this will be as per the project information provided to you by your assessor. If you are completing this based on a workplace, this will be for two projects of your choice.

Vocational education and training is all about gaining and developing practical skills that are industry relevant and that can help you to succeed in your chosen career. For this reason, basing your project on real relationships with classmates or work colleagues will mean that you are applying your knowledge and skills in a relevant, practical and meaningful way!

You will be collecting evidence for this unit in aProject Portfolio. The steps you need to take are outlined below. Before you begin, complete page 4 of yourProject Portfolio.

You are required to plan for and prepare to conduct two detailed traffic analysis. This involves:

Accessing the requirements for the work, including all relevant documentation and legislation and policies and procedures.

Interpreting the requirements for each traffic analysis based on a review of requirements and documentation.

Preparing a traffic analysis plan, including a risk assessment.

CompleteSection 1of yourProject Portfolio. The Project Portfolio includes separate sections for you to document your work in relation to Project 1 and Project 2.

  1. Traffic analysis.

You are required to carry out the detailed traffic analysis for both projects. This involves:

Work onSection 2of yourProject Portfolio. The Project Portfolio includes separate sections for you to document your work in relation to Project 1 and Project 2.

When you have completed the steps above, you are to present your work in the next activity.

This means developing a presentation about the traffic analysis you have prepared to your team (your assessor and fellow students). Remember that you will be presenting the traffic analysis for both projects.

The purpose of your presentation will be to:

Present the work you have completed for review by your team.

Provide an update on the progress of the work, ensuring you advise your team of the next steps for the project.

Provide clarification and advice to assist with the implementation of each analysis.

Obtain approval for your work.

Your presentation will be for approximately 15 minutes and your assessor will advise you of the date and time.

Please note that at the presentation you will need to show that you present information using terminology as relevant to traffic analysis and using listening and questioning techniques so make sure you prepare for this as part of your presentation preparation.

You are now required to present your work to your team as per the above instructions.

During your presentation, your assessor will be looking to see that you have reviewed the traffic analysis with the team, provided an update on progress and obtained approval for your analysis.

Your assessor will also confirm that you use terminology as relevant to traffic analysis and listening and questioning techniques.
