In this assessment you will write a critique on the research article provided in the link below

Your critique will need to include the following:

Introduction and Summary: Identify the work being critiqued as well as the date it

was created and the name of the author/s. Describe the main argument or purpose of

the work and explain the context in which the work was created. Briefly summarise

the main points of the article and the way in which the author frames their discussion

(Approximately 150 words).

Critical Evaluation: Provide a systematic and critical evaluation of the article. This

involves the use of a systematic approach to objectively review a piece of research and

highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the research study in order to make a

judgment about the rigour of the research and readiness for use in nursing practice.

This should include suitability of the methodology, sampling method/recruitment and

data analysis (approximately 700 words).

Application to Practice: Discuss how this research can be applied to nursing practice

(With reference to organisational policies and procedures) (approximately 600 words).

Conclusion: Include a brief paragraph indication your overall evaluation of the work

and a summary of the key reasons for this evaluation (approximately 150 words).

This critique needs to adhere to formal academic writing and referencing conventions. It is

strongly recommended that students used headings to organise paper. All sources must be

correctly referenced in-text and in the reference list in accordance with APA 7th Edition

referencing style.
