Description
As an HR leader of a companyheadquartered in Australiaand with subsidiaries in three countries (Germany, Canada, Mexico), prepare a memo for your CEO arguingeither for, or against, imposing a common HR system and processes across all three companys locations (Germany, Canada, Mexico).
Talent management(TM) andmanaging performance(MP) (including reward)have been identified as two of the most critical HR issues facing international companies today. As the HR leader for a company headquartered in Australia, operating and providing services in Germany, Canada, Mexico, prepare a memorandum for your CEO arguingeither for, or against, imposing a common HR system and processes across all three companys locations, in relation to these two critical HR issues (TM and PM-including reward). In brief, recommend either for or against imposing a common system (this is related to:localisation vs. standardisation- which global HRM strategy is best in each country and why?)for these HR processes (TM & MP) in your three operations.
Memo details
You should make reference to theGLOBE studyand other material covered in weeks 1-6; and provide an outline of the HR system or HR systems you recommend. Globe country comparison can be found in this link:GLOBE: comparing countries(Links to an external site.)This is amemorandum not an essay.Althoughcompany's memorandum (or memos) usuallywouldn't include in text references and reference list,you must include in-text references as this is an assessment, and a reference list indicating where you have sourced your concepts. Students will demonstrate additional research beyond the course material and the course textbook by using recent peer reviewed academic journal articles published between 2010 and 2022 (minimum of fifteen {15}).

Be creative: create a scenario in the Australian company and it's subsidiaries; use current Global HRM issues learned during assessment 1 (e.g., is similar or different operating in developed countries such as Germany and Canada, than operating in emerging economies such as Mexico?; how global issues such as the pandemic or emerging technologies or global mobility or deglobalisation or any other global issue are affecting the Australian multinational operating in each one of the three locations?)
Key issues, critical analysis and synthesis has been developed, and using the relevant academic literature.
Ideas and assertions are substantiated through the use ofhigh quality reference materialand the use of key academic concepts/theories/perspectives/views to explain the key issues, critical analysis and synthesis
Hence, it should be an explicit linking of the literature to the memo content.
Opinions or arguments that are not substantiated by quality references are omitted.
A clear and comprehensive written style is used, including correct spelling, grammar, and syntax.
