Starting a PAR Process
Adopt the role of a social worker or social work student in one of the following scenarios:
Option A: You are working in a domestic violence agency in Brisbane. Design a human services program to meet the needs of women and children from refugee backgrounds accessing a domestic violence refuge using a participatory action research (PAR) process.
Option B: The SWAHSS at QUT has been given funds to undertake a PAR project on the topic of Chat GPT usage in SWHS courses. Design a program to which seeks to meet the needs of students whilst maintaining graduate competencies.
Option C: You are a student on placement in an aged care home. Residents of the home report feeling bored and without any meaningful occupation. Design a program which meets the needs of residents without impacting on staff time.
