Task

Produce a microteach video that showcases your instruction of a PDHPE subject area. This is where you will be able to showcase your Infographic from Assignment 1 and be able to show how you would incorporate this into a lesson.

Imagine this video could be viewed by students before, during or towards the end of the lesson, to aid instruction. You CHOOSE where the infographic would fit best in your lesson. For example, as an introductory activity or should your lesson lead into the use of the infographic. Ask yourself - do the students need to be given some background information about the topic before engaging with the infographic. Due to the micro nature of this assignment, your video will form only part of the lesson. Your video has a maximum duration of 4 minutes.

Your micro teach must engage a diverse range of learners through interactive, informative, and student-centred activities. Provide an opportunity for your students to engage in practice situations where they are challenged to critically engage with the subject area.

Micro teach video must make links to NESA Syllabus or ACARA Key ideas.This can be in the form of a screenshot, directions i.e. pg#, strand 1, dot point or using a link to the syllabus.

Use simple clear language and visuals to describe what your focus will be within your allocated topic. To create your microteach video you can use any software you are most comfortable using; PowerPoint, YouTube, Vimeo, Adobe etc

For best effect, use a combination of techniques to communicate:

Voiceover with complementary text overlays

Expert interview (you as the teacher - navigating students through your infographic)

Video grabs of learning material/resources/activities

Colour, titles, transitions and imagery to enhance engagement and communication
