Data for decision-making has become a growing interest over the last few decades, given the continuous advances in technology. Businesses which have the capacity to capture and store data, now more than ever, employ data to guide decisions they make.
This assessment requires you to reflect on the value of data and analytics in a business context for decision-making for a current or past organisation that you have previously worked in.
Task
Describe an organisation that you have worked for, including the industry, vision and goals. (100 words)
Describe the data used in your organisation, and justify whether they have been valuable or not valuable for decision-making. (200 words)
Consider a world in which any data is easily retrievable. Make recommendations on additional data you believe would benefit the business and justify your choice of data. (200 words)
