Task 1.1

You are required to develop a generic contracts administration framework that can be adapted to a range of projects. This should include.

  9. Monitoring process for contractual performance which is designed as a quality assurance system and includes.
    1. Include benchmarks for contract performance.
    2. Communication, internal and external
    3. Complying with organisational policy
    4. Managing finances
    5. Complying with legislation
    6. A schedule for reviewing and monitoring contract administration procedures.
    7. A final evaluation process. Which describes how information and data is gathered and a process for dealing with feedback. How will these things be managed?

Task 1.2

Using the generic framework you have developed you are to adapt and apply it to the following two (2) projects. There will be some duplication, but given the different contractual arrangements there will also be differences.

Project 1

This is a design and construct project. The brief for the project is outlined as a multi residential high rise complex with the ground floor consisting of shops and a café which will be leased to independent businesses. To align with the neighbourhood plan the maximum height of the building is 8 storeys. The project has a time frame of 24 months which includes the design phase.

Project 2

This project is a sports stadium for a regional municipal authority. It will have a capacity of 10,000 people with seating for 1000. This seating consists of stands on one side of the oval that are to be constructed from formed and precast concrete. Using portal frames construction for the roof over the seating. It will contain all the required amenities and change rooms on the ground level. With the upper level mostly consisting of enclosed private boxes and board casting booths. All other sides of the oval will have grassed mounds with shade sails. The time frame for construction is twelve months with a completion date two months prior to a planned grand final game.

Each of the two projects will have their own unique risks contractually as well as physically. Take this into consideration while applying the management framework.
