Instructions to B.Tech.(IT) Major Project-I Students
All communications related to major project will be communicated through Moodle. Students are informed to check Moodle regularly.
Each team will get 30 minutes time for evaluation (20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for questions and answers).
The project report must be in the standard format as per the format given by the Information Technology department, NITK.
No additional End semester evaluation will be conducted under any reason/circumstance except for medical reasons with prior approval; Students need to apply for "I" grade If they are not present on the scheduled End Semester evaluation.
If panel members want to verify the demonstration of the entire major project, then the students should demonstrate the whole project by showing the complete source code of the major project.
Zero marks for the "Implementation*/Results+/Proof of Concept" and Implementation /Results" components if the major project code is directly taken/copied from the Internet or any other sources. If they take source code from the Internet/other sources, then students should show where all modifications are done on the source code of the major project.
Students should approach only the guide if they have doubts about Major Project-I evaluation.
No leave will be granted on the evaluation date.
Students should be available on the evaluation platform at least 45 minutes before the schedule.
Mid-Semester Major Project-I Report Submission
At least one of the major project team members should submit the Major Project-I report on Moodle under the weblink "Mid-Semester B.Tech.(IT)-IT449 Major-Project-I Report Submission" on or before 3rd October 2023 5:00 PM.50% of the report marks will be deducted for late submission, i.e. after 3rd October 2023 5:00 PM and before 4th October 2023 5:00 PM. Late submission of the Mid-Semester Major Project-I report should be submitted on Moodle under the weblink "Late Submission of Mid-Semester B.Tech.(IT)-IT449 Major-Project-I Report Submission".
No email submission of the Major Project-I report is considered for evaluation, report marks will be zero for such submission and submission after 4th October 2023 5:00 PM.
End-Semester Major Project-I Report Submission
At least one of the major project team members should submit the Major Project-I report on Moodle under the weblink "End-Semester B.Tech.(IT)-IT449 Major-Project-I Report Submission" on or before 17 November 2023 5:00 PM.
50% of the report marks will be deducted for late submission, i.e. after 17th November 2023 5:00 PM and before 18th November 2023 5:00 PM. Late submission of the End-Semester Major Project-I report should be submitted on Moodle under the weblink "Late Submission of End-Semester B.Tech.(IT)-IT449 Major-Project-I Report Submission".
No email submission of the Major Project-I report is considered for evaluation, report marks will be zero for such submission and submission after 18th November 2023 5:00 PM.
