Assessment 2 requires students to design lesson plan/s that involve four (4) learning experiences encompassing cognitive development and thinking, motor and literacy skills, to extend the skills of learners from birth to two for use in your placement. Include approaches to suit learners from diverse backgrounds and ones for children with a range of developmental levels.

Students will convey lesson objectives surrounding the intended learning experience areas to be developed, the description of the procedures, reflecting specifically what equipment/resources will be utilized, discuss the teaching strategies they will/might use, their role as Educators, what open-ended questions they will ask their children, methods of assessing the learning and development/experiences, and how they will review their lesson and extend children's learning moving forward. How to Prepare Lesson Plan

There are eight key steps to developing a lesson plan these need to be considered when developing your plan:

1. Learners: What are the intellectual, social, physical, personal, and emotional needs of my learners?

2. Strategies: Which teaching strategies will best facilitate my learners' learning?

3. Grouping: Should I group strategies in a heterogeneous or homogeneous manner? What size should my groups be?

4. Timing: When is the best time to do this lesson? Are there prerequisites my learners should have mastered?

5. Materials: What materials and human resources do I need for the lesson to be successful?

6. Success: Was the lesson successful? Were my learners interested? Did my learners learn? What didn't work? What will I do differently next time?

7. Sequence: What can I do next to build upon this lesson? How can I make it flow?

8. Rationale: What is the reason for doing this? What objectives will be accomplished?
