• Demonstrate Measurements by calculating areas of spaces and present area statement, relate to clients requirements
• Project budget: provide revised estimates based on the final design and explain how it fits in the clients budget
• Discuss and suggest appropriate site investigations & land surveying requirements for your project

1. Identify information needs for statutory approvals and narrate the process

Based on the learning in the module concerning laws & regulations, outline the approval process for planning permission and building control approval to execute your project.

Specifically, the information requirements for applying for planning permission and building control approval.

1. Propose a preliminary construction method statement using the chosen materials & technology

• Suggest & justify suitable materials of construction and technology (construction equipment) that could be used to build the critical components
• Demonstrate for at least six critical components two each from structural system, services & finishes
• Describe the possible process to follow in putting together various critical components (foundation, structure, roof, walls, etc.) of your building with the help of infographics
• Suggest a preliminary site layout plan for this project and discuss the role of logistics planning

• Provide a narrative on Lean Construction and discuss its application in your house project
• You may suggest the use of some lean tools & techniques in this project and their benefits
