Design and Develop an Educational Program Assessment
Task A Needs Analysis:
- Conduct a teaching and learning needs analysis or assessment in your workplace to establish an unmet educational requirement and discuss your findings.
- Identify the focus/topic that will become your educational program.
- Discuss the underpinning theory(s) that could be used to structure the educational programme.
- You may wish to consider your educational philosophy (Assessment 1) to support your discussion.
Task B Aim/Learning Outcomes :
- Discuss the importance, briefly, of including an overall aim and learning outcomes in the design and development of an educational programme. Identify the overall aim and/or purpose of your educational programme as well as your intended learning outcomes.
Task C Assessment(s) :
- Discuss briefly, the purpose of assessment(s) to support achieving the aim and learning outcomes in an educational programme. Outline or formulate assessment(s) with tasks relevant to meet the learning outcomes of your educational programme.
Task D Teaching and Learning Plan :
- Discuss how intended learning outcomes will be achieved through planned teaching and learning approaches and activities. Develop a teaching and learning plan that explores a selected variety of approaches and activities relevant to achieving the learning outcomes of your educational programme. It may be appropriate to present the teaching and learning plan in a template if this is relevant for your educational programme.
Task E Evaluation Plan :
- Discuss briefly, the relevance of evaluation in the design and development of an educational programme. Demonstrate the integration of evaluation outcomes in this educational programme. Discuss how these are used to review your educational programme.
